FERMA Initiatives

for FUTURE GENERATIONS

At FERMA, we are committed to fostering the next generation of risk management professionals. Our initiatives aim to provide students and young professionals with the education, mentorship, and practical experience necessary to lead the future of risk management in Europe and beyond. By collaborating with esteemed educational institutions and professional networks, we strive to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application, ensuring that our industry continues to innovate and thrive.

Paris Dauphine Collaboration:

Paris Dauphine University fosters partnerships with professional sectors related to its programs, including its Executive MBA in insurance with AMRAE in France, while also encouraging international ties with foreign professional and academic organizations. This year, FERMA is proud to collaborate with Paris Dauphine’s Centre des Hautes Études en Assurance (CHEA), a prestigious center of research and innovation in the insurance sector since 1946. The partnership aims to enhance the education of future risk management leaders by expanding their networks and providing industry insights. For the first time, 23 students will attend the FERMA Forum in Madrid, where they will engage with global professionals and discuss risk transformation with key risk managers. This event will help students understand business risk challenges and build international connections. The university is delighted to have established this collaboration during the Madrid meetings.

Students Programme:

In partnership with the European University College Association (EUCA), FERMA is dedicated to offering students opportunities to gain practical insights and build connections that will serve them throughout their careers. EucA’s commitment to fostering excellence in higher education aligns with FERMA’s goal of cultivating the next generation of risk management professionals.
The Students Programme at the FERMA Forum is designed to immerse participants in real-world challenges, fostering critical thinking and collaboration.
By facilitating networking opportunities, this programme helps students transition from academic settings to professional environments, where they can apply their knowledge and grow their careers.
Overall, 22 students, both from the EucA network and from our members associations, will be able to participate in the FERMA Forum in Madrid.

Young Risk Professional (MARSH):

The Young Risk Professional (supported by MARSH) initiative is a key part of FERMA’s mission to support emerging leaders in the field of risk management. This activity, taking place during the Forum, is dedicated to Young Risk Professional (under the age of 35). It is the perfect opportunity to gain inside knowledge from industry’s leading experts.

University Autónoma de Madrid:

As part of the FERMA initiatives for future generations, we are thrilled to welcome 10 students from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid to the 2024 Madrid Forum. These talented 4th-year students, pursuing their Bachelor in Business and Economics with a focus on Risk Management, are set to complete their degrees next semester. We are delighted to have them join us and engage with the industry, as they represent the next generation of risk management professionals.
