BIO:
Cristina Martínez is a board member and Chief Risk Officer who helps large private organizations increase recurring revenue & liquidity and quickly align teams around priorities and values, by embedding risk-informed decision making. She specializes in developing tailormade and innovative corporate risk & insurance solutions for competitive advantage, growth, and turnaround. She has 20+ years of business leadership experience in complex multinational companies dealing with M&A, transformational challenges, revenue and organic growth, geographic expansion, IPO readiness, risk reduction and changing regulatory environments. Cristina currently serves as Chief Risk Officer for SACYR, the 7th largest infrastructure concession operator in the world. She built the risk function from scratch and reshaped the risk governance and management strategy, leading it to become an award-wining resiliency case study in 2021. Previously, she built, led and leveled up the insurance and risk functions at large multidisciplinary teams across continents in a variety of industries including aviation (IBERIA AIRLINES) and consumer products (CAMPOFRIO FOOD GROUP) having successfully navigated highly visible regulations, crisis management, investors, and media. As a Qualified Risk Director®, she is an internationally recognized risk and insurance advisor who helps companies navigate the intersection of innovation, governance and risk-taking.
