• The best and fastest way to reach the AHOY venue is by taking Metro Line E headed to Slingle and getting off at Zuidplein station. The venue can then be reached via foot is only 11 minutes.

What is happening?

Engineering works at Amsterdam Centraal mean that no trains will serve the station on Saturday 3 October, with significantly reduced services on Sunday 4 and Monday 5 October. Additional works will close the high-speed railway between Rotterdam and Breda during the weekend, affecting some international connections from Belgium and France. Rotterdam remains accessible, but your journey may require a different route, extra changes or more time.

Please check your journey before travelling to Rotterdam. Amsterdam Centraal will have no trains on Saturday 3 October and reduced services on 4–5 October. Separate weekend works also affect trains between Rotterdam and Belgium. Rotterdam remains accessible, but some journeys will take longer or require changes.

Depending on your arrival location

• Schiphol Airport (no issue): take a train directly to Rotterdam Centraal. This route avoids Amsterdam Centraal, so the station closure itself should not affect your journey. Check NS for your departure; Intercity direct requires a supplement.
• Rotterdam Centraal (no issue): continue to your hotel by local transport or taxi. For Ahoy, take metro D towards De Akkers or E towards Slingeto Zuidplein, then walk five minutes.
• Belgium / Paris by train (expect changes): expect timetable changes and longer journeys. On 3–4 October, most Eurocity Direct services still reach Rotterdam via a diversion; EuroCity passengers need an onward NS train from Roosendaal or Breda. Eurostar passengers: check your specific train and Rotterdam stop.
• From Germany by train: plan your connection to Rotterdam via Utrecht, avoiding Amsterdam Centraal. For Berlin/Hannover services, check the revised arrival station: your onward connection may be from Utrecht or Amersfoort.
